Dyslexia support

Dyslexia support

We recognise the challenges that dyslexia can cause. Support Network can provide support to you, and to members of your family, to diagnose and/or meet dyslexia-related needs.

Dyslexia is not an obvious difficulty; it is hidden. Additionally, many people don't understand what dyslexia is, the issues the condition presents or how best to support someone with dyslexia.

Around 10% of people in Britain are dyslexic, and dyslexia is identified as a disability under the Equality Act 2010.

If you, or one of your family members, have dyslexia, or wonder if you might, then we can assist.

We are working with the British Dyslexia Association to enable access to their specialist support.  This can include:

  • A dyslexia assessment at a significantly subsidised cost – we will cover up to 90% of the fee.
  • Free national, confidential helpline for people with dyslexia and dyscalculia and those who support them (contact: 0333 405 4567 / helpline@bdadyslexia.org.uk / direct message on Facebook or Instagram).
  • Access to free resources and advice for individuals, parents, educators and employers.
  • Funding for follow-up support, such as training and webinars for adults with dyslexia or for parents and carers who are supporting a young person with dyslexia.
